Once you get yourself settled into a routine with working out 3 or 4 times a week we can introduce you to some nutrition guidance. Learning the right foods for your body is so important. Do you get enough protein, are your carbs to high, is sugar your enemy? Let the knowledgeable staff at Recoil help you find what’s best for you. No fad diets or juice cleanses here.
The only thing Coach Nikki doesn’t like here at CrossFit Recoil is sugar. Sure she loves the taste of it, and enjoys a cookie once in a while, everything in moderation. Sugar is the number 1 killer right now. It’s hidden in everything from marinara sauce to peanut butter! Even more “low fat” foods have to add it so that they taste better. So you think you are eating better but you really aren’t. The American Heart Association recommends 36 grams of sugar for men and 25 grams of sugar for women per day. Did you know most Starbucks drinks contain a minimum of 25 grams of sugar. That is you whole days allotment right in 1 drink! Crazy right!!
Sugar leads to inflammation, weight gain, diabetes, and chronic disease! We know it is in most things and very addictive. No one is asking you to stop eating it completely, but let us help you eat less of it. Some very small changes in your diet and you will feel 100% better while seeing some amazing results in your body!
